About the project

Domjurista is the largest technology company in Ukraine that develops automated legal services. Its team has a big dream – change the way people get all the legal services and make them available online. So, when they creating new legal online services, they must combine technology, design, and jurisprudence in such a way that everyone can understand and very easily navigate their new products because the slightest mistake can cause the failure of their product. Now their team is integrating the largest online bookstore in Ukraine, so that right on their platform people can buy the literature they need. Our studio was invited to create and implement the look and feel of their new bookstore.

Main Page

It is so difficult to balance between an incredibly elegant and easy-to-use design. If we put too much different and “trendy” design elements – the product becomes tough to use. So we decided to remove all unnecessary elements and left only what helps people determine the quality of the book they choose. We also understand that everything starts with a search. As a result, we made a large and clear search right on the main page, so that users can easily find books they need. On the left side are the categories where people filter the right books, and in the center of the site are the books themselves.


According to a study that we conducted, 65% of users prefer to search and download books directly from their smartphones. They consider this way of working very convenient because they can immediately add those books to applications like iBooks. Therefore, we spend a lot of time developing the mobile version of the site. As a result, it contains all the features as the version for the browser and does not restrict users in choosing books and working with the site. We didn’t hide important elements like categories, authors, price and made them all be in front of the eyes of the users.

We understand that on the page of a separate book, the user should focus solely on the description of the book, it’s cost and content. And no other distractions should prevent him from doing it. To do this, we made the page very minimalistic and reduced the number of colors. We also did a research of the other online stores, including Amazon, Zappos and even Karl Lagerfeld, to see how they sell their products and what things they offer to pay attention to. As a result, we have a very simple and informative page of the book.
